ShARE (Sharing Analysis on Regional Economies) is a multicultural, non- profit organization for students, striving to better understand the complexities of local socio-economic issues through presentations, conferences and projects.
ShARE's first team was created in Shanghai in November 2002. Today, more than 500 members in Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul, New Delhi, Indore, Lahore, London, Lausanne, Munich and Paris, gather regularly to discuss economy in Asia and Europe. ShARE has branches in 13 prestigious universities in 7 countries with more than 500 members as students and researchers. With the current emergence of a global knowledge and information society, ShARE's long term mission is to generate, share and use knowledge to contribute to regions' human, social and economic development. There are 9 global knowledge networks in ShARE based on the different areas of expertise: Macroeconomic, Energy, Development Economics, Finance, Industry, Information and Communication Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Business Strategy and Social Issues.

RECENT EVENTS AT SHARE DSE:
ShARE Magazine Release (December 2008):
The annual ShARE Magazine was released in the presence of the faculty and students. With the readership across the university and in the global campuses of ShARE, the magazine is the culmination of efforts spanning one year.
ShARE Annual Conference (December 2008):
A two day conference was held in the month of December with the theme being "climate change". The star attraction was the “Major Economies Meeting”conducted by the Energy network which attracted participation from various campuses in New Delhi.
There were a series of lectures and discussions on climate change which were invigorating and insightful. The conference ended with the screening two documentaries on the topic.

This is a social organisation formed by the students of DSE in 2005. It is an effort to serve humanity and to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged in our society.
It is an organisation, which does not work for the sake of recognition or reward but with a mission to help those who really need it, hoping to make a better tomorrow.The projects and campaigns are focussed on simple acts of kindness, taking a call to transform the social sensibility into social responsibility. |

The yearly activities of the organisation over the past years include
a) Organisation of blood donation camp in the campus
b) Collection drives(clothes, newspapers etc.) for distribution to the needy
c) Visits to an orphanage “PALNA”- a govt. recognised orphanage
d) Signature drives raising appeal for social and environmental issues(e.g. “Ban the bulb” drive in association with NGO-Greenpeace)
e) Monetary and non-monetary help for victims of catastrophes (if any) etc.
In future also, Prayaas-DSE intends to materialise what its name suggests and to continue with its efforts of broadening the scope of its activities to bring back the lost smiles and help make dreams a reality.
