An organization may choose to invite
applications from students by asking them to either fill
out and submit the application forms provided by the organization
itself or submit their Curriculum Vitae, prepared in a standard
format. |

| Procedures and Terminology |

Job Offers:
To make an offer, the organization has to fill up
a Job Offer Form. An offer is considered complete
only when a representative of the organization fills
in this form and handed over to the Faculty Coordinator,
Placement Program in a sealed envelope. A student
is deemed to have opted out of the placement process
as soon as he/she accepts an offer. |

Categorization of Organizations:
The order in which organizations participate in the
recruitment process will be determined by the mutual
preferences of the students and the organizations,
taking into account parameters such as the job profile
offered, the reputation of the organization, the compensation
package and scope for career advancement within the
organization. |

Day:
Once organizations have been categorized
as above, each category will be allotted specific
time intervals in which to complete their recruitment
process, henceforth referred to as 'days'. Thus a
day is the time interval during which all organizations
within a category have to complete their recruitment
process. There will be 4 such placement days-namely,
day 0, day 1, day 2 and day 3. Day 0 will comprise
more than 24 hours, and will be allotted to companies
with multi-stage recruitment processes to complete
their preliminary selection. Days 1,2 and 3 will have
an upper limit of 16 hours each, and will be allotted
to organizations in the different categories to carry
out their final selections. |

Pre Placement Talks (PPTs):
Organizations are encouraged to conduct PPTs for both
summer and final placements as they enable students
to get a clearer perspective on the organizations as
well as the job profiles offered. The indicative dates
between which Organizations may make their presentations
are given below. |

| Declaration of Results |
|
|
| Organizations in the same
category will declare their results simultaneously at the
end of the day assigned to that category. |
